The White River Valley Players invite the community to attend their annual meeting Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Park House in Rochester.
The evening will feature live entertainment by Susan Rule, Dorothy Robson and cast members from the fall 2009 WRVP musical production, “It’s About Time.” There will also be a costume parade narrated by Alan Moore.
There will be a look back at other Players’ events during 2009, including the Missoula Children’s Theater, the spring musical, “Oliver,” the Summernight concert with music by Rani Arbo and daisy mayhem, the 22nd annual Harvest Fair, and “Winter Tales.”
A preview of the year ahead will include a play reading planned for February 5, the “May Day” spring production, the Summernight concert, the 23rd annual Harvest Fair (set for September 11), and a possible fall production.
Several community members will be honored for their work with the Players and there will be door prizes, including tickets to WRVP events. There will also be a short business meeting, during which officers and board members will be elected for the coming year. The evening will come to a sweet conclusion with a dessert buffet.
The White River Valley Players always welcome new members, and anyone interested in finding out more about the group is urged to call WRVP President Dorothy Robson at 767-3732.
