Lunar New Year Celebration in Rochester,
Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 11 AM - 2 PM.
Events will include craft sessions at Park House, The Federated Church and Rochester Public Library, burning of wishes, tiger parade around the park and finally an indoor “firecracker” celebration in Pierce Hall.
All events are free, but there will be a donation box to help us with funding the “firecracker” event for the 2011 Year of the Rabbit celebration. Local Rochester eateries will also have Asian items on the menu on Saturday, so stop by to check them out as well. Sponsored by The Rochester Lunar New Year Committee, CVY, The Federated Church, Park House, Rochester Public Library and Pierce Hall Community Center.

Change of venue for firecracker celebration… head down to Rochester School’s auditorium around 1:30 pm. Pierce Hall is out of commission for use right now due to ongoing renovations.
